Sophia Montessori Academy is an authentic Montessori school in Denver, Colorado combining the benefits that are seen in Montessori environments with the Byzantine Catholic Tradition.
Pauline Meert and Irene Ortega, founders and teachers at the school, explained to us that in the past they had tried free video solutions, saying,
“[Our past efforts] were great, but weren’t quite up to our expectations for what we wanted to do this year.”
They also expressed concerns: feeling “challenged,” even “overwhelmed,” and ultimately, “not competent to find the right solution.”
A mutual friend of ours connected us via word of mouth and we were off to the races.
Our friends at Sophia Montessori Academy expressed their goals and desires for our collaboration in our initial strategy meeting together, saying,
“[We wanted to] share the message of SMA in a beautiful and effective way with the public and prospective families.”
In particular, in the context of a Gala they had coming up— at which they also wanted to increase their donations to accommodate future growth and expansion.
With this in mind, we helped Pauline and Irene come up with a unique plan to get the results she was after. In short, we decided to take action in these specific ways:
(1) By capturing testimonies from parents and friends of the school we could share firsthand experiences of how the school had changed theirs & their children’s lives, exploring the benefits and opportunities available with this one-of-a-kind type of educational approach.
(2) Honor the beauty and uniqueness of each child that attends Sophia Montessori Academy, as well as offering a glimpse into their academic and spiritual experiences through dynamic, high-resolution cinematography for maximum impact.
The results speak for themselves.
Pauline told us that what impressed her most was our “video quality and cinematography.”
Practically, they were able to increase their funds raised at the Gala by over 40% compared to last year. Anecdotally, people were deeply moved (even some, to tears!) when they premiered their new video at their Gala. In addition, Sophia Montessori Academy has continued to utilize their video on their website and social media and they have all of the raw interviews we captured with parents and other staff to archive for future video use and/or leverage elsewhere in their print and other marketing materials.
Ultimately, Pauline said we provided her,
“… a huge weight off our shoulders. We knew that [with Lux Lab] we had found the right guidance and support.“
